Who is Angry Hen Brewing?
Angry Hen Brewing is an independent craft brewery and community gathering place in Kaslo, BC, built around good beer, live music, local connection, and the simple pleasure of having somewhere to pull up a chair and stay awhile.
Since taking over the brewery in 2024, owners Cassie and Rogan have continued the tradition established by founder Shirley Warne, while growing Angry Hen into something that feels as much like a local living room as it does a brewery.
With rotating house-brewed beer, regular live music and community events, and a strong commitment to making everyone feel welcome, Angry Hen has become a hub for locals, travellers, and anyone looking for a good pint and a place to settle in.
Why Manifest Reached Out to Angry Hen Brewing
When Manifest first reached out to Angry Hen Brewing, the brewery had a great local reputation but a digital presence that wasn’t quite keeping up. Their social media was infrequent, inconsistent, and missing opportunities to promote the events, music, and community activity happening in the brewery every week.
Having seen the frustration this was causing in the community, Manifest approached Angry Hen with a simple idea: let’s get someone in there who can take care of this properly.
Cassie had just taken over the brewery and had plenty on her plate already, so the goal was to build a consistent online presence that felt like Angry Hen while taking the day-to-day work of managing it off her hands.
How We Help Angry Hen Brewing
Knowing that Angry Hen needed a consistent online presence without adding another thing to Cassie and Jolene’s already full plates, Manifest Content Solutions took on the brewery’s social media management and began building out a digital presence that actually felt like Angry Hen.
MCS first developed a recognizable brand voice and visual style for the brewery, creating the bartender persona, typography, graphics, photography, and tone that now carry across its online presence.
From there, MCS took over the ongoing management of Angry Hen’s social platforms, creating and scheduling regular content, managing comments and messages, promoting events, and working directly with the brewery team and other local stakeholders to keep information current.
As the relationship grew, so did the work. MCS designed and developed a new WordPress website, rewriting the site content, sourcing photography, building forms and updating the brewery’s online information to improve both the customer experience and its search presence. MCS also began producing branding photography and video, event posters and signage, and promotional materials for use both online and around the community.
Today, the partnership has expanded well beyond social media. MCS supports Angry Hen with event promotion and community outreach, connects with local businesses and industry contacts, creates content at events, and continually tests new ways to reach both locals and visitors.
With a largely hands-off relationship built on trust, Angry Hen has been able to hand over its digital presence to someone who understands the brand, knows the community, and can keep the whole thing moving.
